Bald Eagle Day

Celebrate our nation’s bird with this special day at Wildlife Prairie Park

 

HANNA CITY, IL- Join us for a day full of eagles and other birds on Saturday, January 7th with activities running from 10am -3pm and the Park trails being open from 9am-4:30pm. Start off the morning by grabbing a scavenger hunt form on your way into the facility and enter to win a prize basket upon completion. Raptor displays can be viewed in Forest Hall from 11am-3pm. Join Park staff at 11:15am or 1pm to see a raptor program in Forest Hall as well. See if you can spot all the native Illinois bird species during a birder walk through the trails taking place at 10am and 2pm. Please meet outside the Visitor Center.

Wildlife Prairie Park is open year round. During the winter months’ animals are much more active and easier to locate within the enclosures. Daily admission rates apply. $8 for adults and $5 for children ages 3-12. Children ages 2 and under are free. Wildlife Prairie Park offers a yearly membership pass as well. Memberships start at just $55 for an individual and will grant you full access to the Bald Eagle Day activities. Please visit online at WildlifePrairiePark.org or more details.
