I read this story this morning and I could feel my cheeks turning red. I started working with I was 14 and spent most of my life working more than one job so it’s very difficult for me to wrap my head around this kind of thinking.

A server in South Carolina received a tip the other day. Written out. This tip? Basically ‘stay home’. ‘A woman’s place is in the home’. And it went on to include some very hurtful and rude things about someone they knew nothing about. Read the whole story from Fox Carolina here.

Absolutely a woman can stay in the home: if it’s what she and her family have decided is best for them. But why the judgement?
