Blake Shelton has been teasing fans on Twitter all weekend about a big announcement. While fans joked, asking if the news was that he and Adam Levine were getting married, he was pregnant or new music was on the way, Blake played coy. He was adamant that there was no way anyone would guess because the news was “way too insane.”

And he was right. Monday morning (Nov. 9) on the Today Show with Kathie Lee and Hoda the big news was revealed: Blake will be hosting Nickelodeon’s 2016 Kids’ Choice Awards!

“My agent called and was like, ‘Is there anything you can think of that you want to do?’. “And I was thinking, ‘I want to host those Kids’ Choice Awards. I want to do this thing with kids, it’s fun. I want to get slimed.”
