The Peoria Humane Society and Northwood’s Mall have partnered together to collaborate with local artist, Jean Filson, to create an interactive mural of wings that invites viewers to stand in front of the piece to become part of the art.
The goal of this mural is to raise awareness and promote compassionate and humane treatment of all living creatures. It encompasses the Peoria Humane Society’s Core Values of respect, responsibility, peace, and kindness towards animals.
Located on the upper level of the mall on a large wall next to The Room Place, this unique mural offers an opportunity for people to be lifted up and inspired to protect and help animals in need.
Adoptable pets from PCAPS, tasty samples from Cheese Nuts and Jane’s Sweet Addictions, pictures in front of the mural and musical entertainment will all be part of the unveiling on Saturday, December 15th from 2-5 pm. Join the Peoria Humane Society and Northwoods Mall in celebrating the beauty of this interactive wings mural.
