HANNA CITY, IL – Do you want to get in touch with your creative side? Then this day is for you! On July 15th, the Park will host a variety of activities and demonstrations all focused on art. The Park will be open from 9am until 6:30pm and activities will run from 10am-3pm. Admission for the event will be the standard daily admission which is $9 for adults and $6 for children. All members will attend the event free of charge.
Some of the activities for the day include a photography contest and seminar by Mike Boatman at 10am and airbrush tattoos outside the Visitor Center until 3! At 12:30pm please head to the bricks in the main park area for a special dedication of “Hope”, a sculpture by Charlie Brouwer, which was graciously donated by Bill and Paula Cirone this past spring. Inside Forest Hall, test your artistic abilities with a beginner level painting class brought to you by Vino Van Gogh! Advanced registration is required and can be made for a 10am class or a 2pm class. While Mom and Dad enjoy a painting lesson upstairs, kids of all ages can join in a kid’s art project in the basement of Forest Hall.
