I keep busy, that’s for sure. I am a husband, father, radio host (two stations), social media person, television host, and Monster Jam live event host for some of the biggest motorsport events on the planet. And now, I can add actor to that resume!

Because of Monster Jam I have gotten to meet some really cool people LIKE Rob Dyrdek. I thought having the corner of my face on Fantasy Factory on MTV was cool. That was until last week. I was flown to LA to shoot with Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson to be apart of Season 3 of Ballers on HBO. This was the coolest experience EVER!

Here I am, a small town Illinois boy, getting on an airplane to fly to LA to hang with the highest paid entertainer in the world. And wouldn’t you know, I got lost getting on my plane. My ticket says seat 3, and the first row says 8???? I asked a flight attendant who laughed at me. “You are in the wrong section, first class is up here sir!”

I couldn’t believe it! I have never been 1st class before. Hot towels, warm nut mixes, DINNER, free drinks!!! This was swanky. Until I got picked up by my driver in a Mercedes. And no, it wasn’t uber.

Fernando wasn’t very chatty, but he had water ready for me and anything else I needed. I was still a bit in shock…

The catering on set of HBO’s Ballers was something else too! Lobster tail, filet wrapped in bacon, oysters, crab legs, and nothing but the most delicious food was everywhere!

I worked with the top of the line producers, directors, camera operators, and people who are making serious things happen in movies/tv/LA.

I have even had a Hollywood entertainment reporter reach out to ask me more about what happened behind the scenes! All I can say was “IT WAS AWESOME!”

And to top it all off, I made it onto Dwayne Johnson’s IG page over the weekend!

When you’re evil, you gotta commit to the laugh 😈 When you see this huge green screen scene in #Ballers this summer, I would’ve just crashed my monster truck and me and the announcer will be standing in the middle of 30,000 fans in Las Vegas who go WILD when I announce I’m bringing an NFL team to Vegas. Before the scene, our prop master @ottoprops44 who’s in charge of all my props on set says ~ Hey DJ, I laid down pads and soft black blankets for you to throw your helmet on since the helmet is expensive, we don’t want it to crack and we only have one for the whole shoot tonight. Me ~ You got it brother Otto, I’ll gently toss the helmet on the soft and safe black blankets. Then I purposely throw the helmet on the ground, it cracks and we can’t use it anymore. Director yells, “Cut”. The whole crew laughs, Otto cries and I continue to be the evil asshole always looking to have fun with the crew. 😈 #OnSet #Ballers #LuvThisCrew #AlwaysABlast #NFLTeamRelocations #ArtImitatingLife #AndFuckThisHelmet 😉
