Get ready for disc golf! The tees are poured and the baskets are placed, disc golf is coming to Hanna City. Wildlife Prairie Park is hosting a ribbon cutting ceremony for the new disc golf course on the Park’s West Side property, taking place on August 16th at 3pm at the 18th basket. All are welcome to throw a few test discs and check out the course!
Then on the 17th thru the 21st,, It’s the Discraft Ledgestone Insurance Open. The course will be closed to the public during those dates but you can still get registered for the event until August 12th. More information about the tournament can be found online at lisopen.com.
Wildlife Prairie Park Disc Golf Course is a championship level 18 hole course with elevation on nearly every hole. Surrounded by beautiful scenery of several lakes, 3 holes even pass over bodies of water! Hole length ranges from 200-1,000 feet. Landscape and terrain is hilly and wooded so remember your gym shoes and bug spray! For more information about the course just head to wildlifeprairiepark.org
