Gwen Stefani appeared on Ellen and dodged most of her questions, but admitted that she had no idea who Blake Shelton was until they started working together on ‘The Voice’.

Ellen did get her to admit she’s having lots of fun on The Voice this year, and the two briefly talked about Team Gwen. Ellen brings up Shelton’s musical knowledge, with his girlfriend adding she was impressed that he knows every ’80s hit.

“I didn’t even know who he was before I was on the show,” the 46-year-old says. “Before I was on The Voice I’d never heard of him before … I’m an O.C. girl, like what would I know?”
