In recent interviews with CMT and Nash Country Weekly, Maddie & Tae talk about the dynamics of their relationship and trying to make money by playing on a Nashville street corner.

Maddie tells Nash Country Weekly, “I think the dynamic with us, we truly are best friends. More like sisters, I would say.” “We really have learned how relationships work, with your friends, with your family, with each other.” She goes on to say, “We are a good team. She makes up for my flaws, and I make up for her flaws. We always have each other’s back.

The dynamic duo also talked with CMT about the early days of their career when they once played on a Nashville street corner. “We played a Nashville street corner, right in front of the Hard Rock. We parked at the Hilton, which was $15. And we made $30. We played for two hours, and every time we played our song ‘Waitin on a Plane,’ we’d make a lot of money. So we played it like six times that day.”
