It is illegal in the state of Illinois to talk on a cell phone (unless hands-free) or text while driving. Still, I see it so much. At least once per day. I've never seen anyone pulled over for it. A new survey says that 30% of people admit to texting and driving. (I think that number is much higher)
75% of people have caught someone else texting and driving
15% of people read and drive at the same time. (also illegal)
52% of people have caught someone else reading and driving
Here are some of the biggest distractions while driving.
Romantic encounters (15%)
Combing or styling hair (15%)
Changing clothes (9%)
Applying makeup (8%)
Brushing or flossing teeth (4%)
Changing drivers (3%)
going to the bathroom (3%) That's right! Kinda sounds like a Dumb and Dumber scene.
Drive safely!
