What Women Really Want For Valentine’s Day

Still need ideas on a gift for that special lady in your life for Valentine’s Day? Laurie Puhn Communications did a survey recently asking 200 women between the ages of 30 and 49 what gift they’d like to receive for the holiday, and here’s what they found out:

72% of women want a day off from chores or taking care of the kids

14% of women want a special dinner planned for them

9% of women want a gift (whatever that gift may be)

5% of women want a little somethin somethin (if you know what I mean)

Another Valentine’s Day poll was taken by the folks at eHarmony.com asking people what they’d like from their special someone. They found that:

82% of people would like an “experience” rather than a gift

40% of men and 41% of women view Valentine’s Day as an opportunity to do something romantic with someone they care about, while 32% of men and 29% of women think Valentine’s Day is too commercial

62% of women want their guy to take them out to a nice dinner

4% of women want lingerie for as a gift (to go with the somethin somethin)

70% of people wouldn’t mind going on a blind or first date for Valentine’s Day
