We have all seen basketball games and how the home team tries to distract the opposition at the free throw line. They wave things, stand up, yell, what ever they can do to be the “6th” man.

Check out the video from Philly and the big guy in the third row behind the basket trying to distract Boston’s Kevin Garnett. Wow! He distracted everyone including the announcers!

By the way, Garnett made both free throws.

I noticed this morning on my facebook it shows “recent activity”. It shows that I read an article about Linda Hogan and watched a news video. ARE YOU KIDDING ME! Wait it gets better…. IT SHOWS THAT TO ALL MY FRIENDS!

Isn’t that nice? Now big brother and all my friends can see what I’m doing. I took a shower this morning, but did it with the lights off in case that shows up on there!

When does this invasion of privacy stop?

I dug a little deeper and figured it out. There is a new app on narcbook (formerly facebook to me) called “Socialcam”. If it’s on, everyone sees what you do. So, TURN IT OFF!

Just go to the left side of your narcbook page and under apps, double-click Socialcam. Once in the Socialcam app itself, in the upper right hand corner, choose Settings.

Then in Settings, scroll down to “Auto Sharing” and unclick both the Facebook options. Scroll down again and hit SAVE.

I will shower in the dark again until I’m convinced it’s off. Good luck to all!

Disco legend Donna Summer has died after a battle with cancer, TMZ is reporting. She was 63 years old.

Insiders say she wanted to keep the disease quiet, and a friend said that as recently as two weeks ago, Summer seemed okay and was even finishing up work on a new album.

The five-time Grammy winner shot to fame in the 1970s with songs like ‘Love to Love You Baby,’ ‘Hot Stuff’ and ‘Bad Girls,’ and continued her reign on radio airwaves into the ’80s with hits including ‘She Works Hard for the Money’ and ‘This Time I Know It’s for Real.’

Summer was also the first artist to have three consecutive double albums reach No. 1 on the US Billboard chart.

Here’s some good news for you if your currently working for minimum wage. Yesterday the Illinois Senate Committee approved a proposal to raise the minimum wage.

If the new bill goes through, minimum wage will go up 50 cents a year until it reaches $10.55 per hour in 2015. Currently, the minimum wage sits at $8.25 an hour.

According to cinewsnow.com, State senator Dave Koehler says the economy isn’t stable enough for a wage hike but he says that doesn’t mean he wouldn’t support one in the future.

The bill will now go to the senate floor for a debate.

I hope it gets passed.  I’ve spent a majority of my adult life working for the minimum and I gotta say its really not enough to get by.  10 bucks an hour could really improve life for alot of people.  They can at least keep it consistent with the economy.

There’s a reason that People of WalMart is such a high traffic website.

But never in all my years have I had anything that came close to this guys experience at Wal-Mart.  Thank God!  Have you ever had anything like this happen to you while shopping?  What is the craziest thing that has ever happened to you while shopping?  Let me know!

But there are some that criminal activities.  Here’s a five-year-old picking a lock.

I’ve got to admit that it’s pretty amazing.  But if you think this is good, you should see her hotwire a car.  I’m kidding!  Enjoy!

Maybe it’s a good thing I didn’t though.  Could you imagine the embarrassment when the money and cars are out there for the easy taking….then blowing it when you can’t get the simplest question right.

Yeah.  Maybe I don’t want to be on Wheel Of Fortune for this very reason.

Or what about when I might have a chance to gain more money to increase my lead on Jeopardy!  Only to have my mind headed the wrong way…

Yeah.  Maybe it’s easier sitting at home and pointing out how the contestants missed the chance to win big by blowing an easy question.

Nah.  I think I still want to try to get on a game show.  The Family Feud can’t be that hard…can it?

Nope.  I wouldn’t do anything that bad.

That does it.  I’m going to try to get on a game show this summer.  That’s my goal.  Now to decide which one….

Here’s an interesting story from yesterday. The Peoria Fire Department went fishing for a naked guy.

Authorities say a man took all his clothes off and jumped in the river downtown.  Fire Captain Tony Ardis jumped in after him and kept him above water until a rescue but was able to come. He was then taken to the hospital for evaluations.

I guess a fireman’s work is never done. Sometimes your putting out fires and other times your jumping into the Illinois river after naked guys. I’m guessing Tony’s gonna be hearing about this one from the guys at the fire house for a long time. Nothing like  summertime in Peoria!

If it’s possible to become addicted to adopting animals, Miranda Lambert definitely has an addiction — and she might need rehab for the kind-hearted. According to the sassy songstress’ Twitter feed, she has welcomed yet another stray pup into the Shelton household.

Apparently, the furry black and white pup she rescued from the streets just a month ago wasn’t enough to fill the ‘Over You’ singer’s heart. On Tuesday, the singer shared the photo of this adorable black dog that she found, which she appropriately named after one of country music’s most legendary females.

“New puppy I found last week. Loretta! She will go to a new good home soon I hope. : ) or maybe she is already. Hehe,” Lambert tweeted. Although dozens of her 953,280 Twitter followers replied that they would take the sweet girl off of the country star’s hands, Lambert hasn’t mentioned finding a home (other than her own) for the latest canine addition.

Of course, people are starting to wonder how Lambert ends up with all of these strays. She answered the question that’s been burning up all of our minds when she conversed with Pistol Annies bandmate Ashley Monroe. Apparently, it’s because she’s magnetic — pups just come to her.

“@ashleymonroe said I have “dogdar”. They find me,” Lambert told Monroe. “And I hope I never see the people that dump them. For [their] sake. It won’t be pretty,” she added.

Let that be a lesson to any of you who have been tempted to abandon an animal: If you’re near Miranda Lambert, she’ll probably make the castoff her newest furry friend. And if she finds you, you better watch out!

Kenny Chesney is gearing up to head back out on the road on his first major stadium run since last summer’s Goin’ Coastal Tour. Not only is he sharing the stage with his fellow country music superstar Tim McGraw, but also famed Nashville musician Kenny Greenberg.

Greenberg is the Academy of Country Music’s 2012 Guitarist of the Year and a veteran session musician in Music City who has previously collaborated with Bob Seger, Willie Nelson and Etta James. The legendary guitarist has frequently worked with Chesney on past musical projects, including the singer’s forthcoming new album ‘Welcome to the Fishbowl’ (in stores June 19) and his previous album, ‘Hemingway’s Whiskey.’

“Kenny is one of the best guitarists out there today, period,” Chesney says of his fellow Kenny, Greenberg. “He’s been a great friend and collaborator over the years, right through ‘Welcome to the Fishbowl,’ and it’s going to be amazing to have him at the party each night this summer.”

Greenberg will join Chesney’s already solid band of musicians, which includes Wyatt Beard (keyboards), Sean Paddock (drums), Steve Marshall (bass), Clayton Mitchell (guitar), Jim Bob Gairrett (steel guitar) and Jon Conley (guitar/fiddle).

The highly-anticipated Brothers of the Sun Tour, also featuring Jake Owen and Grace Potter, is set to kick off on June 2 in Tampa, Fla.

So last night I was watching the Miami Heat/Indiana game on television and this guy happened to catch my eye.

When they cut to an Indiana player inbounding the ball I happened to notice this guy in the backround.  In a sea of Miami fans with their white playoff shirts, there he was, decked out in his Chicago Bears stuff.  I got a good laugh out of it and I thought you might too so I paused my T.V and took a picture.

Classic stuff from this guy. You gotta support your team. Go Bears!!!!

This is one of my favorite times of the year when it comes to TV.

No, I’m not happy that primetime TV will be filled with reruns, but I love seeing what shows the TV networks will be keeping and cancelling.

I don’t see many, if any at all,  of the cancellations causing a big uproar, but maybe I’m wrong about that.

Be on the lookout for scam artists trying to take advantage of people looking for lower energy bills.

According to centralilllinoisproud.com

The city of Peoria and Ameren are warning people of scam artists posing to offer you better energy rates. A few weeks back, Peoria voted on electrical aggregation which allowed lower rates to customers because the city can now purchase energy from the cheapest bulk supplier.

Ameren will be sending out letters about this. However, scammers are going door to door, calling and texting people posing as Ameren employees trying to get things like credit card numbers, social security and bank account information.

“Don’t sign up for anything that you just hear about over the phone or through email or door-to-door. Always, get it in writing. So that, you understand exactly what you’re being offered,” said Chris Setti, Peoria’s special projects manager.

It certainly looks as though Taylor Swift‘s next studio album will be full of surprises! In what seems like an unlikely pairing, British singer-songwriter Ed Sheeran took to his official Twitter account yesterday to tells fans he is indeed working with the country starlet on her highly-anticipated fourth album.

“Writing songs with a very cool artist today ,” The BRIT Award winner tweeted. Sheeran quickly clarified his mysterious tweet by adding, ”In and out burger, defacing guitars and writing music with @taylorswift13.”

The cross-genre collaboration isn’t Swift’s first in recent months. In addition to being the featured artist on rapper B.o.B’s song ‘Both of Us,’ the country superstar has also teamed up with pop phenomenon Justin Bieber to pen a track for the young heartthrob’s next album.

“It’s crazy, I mean I even wrote a song with Taylor Swift, so the whole album ranges differently,” Bieber tells U.K. radio station Capital FM. “Everything doesn’t sound the same, everything’s different and [after] each song you won’t expect the next song to happen.”

No word yet on a release date for Swift’s follow-up to her multi-platinum album, ‘Speak Now,’ but the singer does offer an insight on the lyrical direction of the project. In an interview with the New Yorker this past fall, Swift revealed that the songs she’s penned thus far for her 2012 album are “sad.”

“Being so busy, there’s not a lot of time to stop in the middle of the day and just kind of think about this feeling that you just realized about a relationship you had a year ago,” says Swift. “The ones I love the most end up happening very quickly.”

The new album is expected to be released this fall.
